My deepest sympathys: Beverly Sills has died after a brave battle with cancer. In my opinion she was one of the greatest opera singers to grace this earth and with the greatest personality. She was the reason I started listening to opera all those many years ago. Tonight I'll dig out my old albums and listen to them again in rememberance. 7-24-06 Congratulations Ms. Burnett! - Actress-comedian Carol Burnett, whose long-running variety show became a TV classic, received a career achievement award from the Television Critics Association. Celebrated Los Angeles architect Frank Gehry will begin a two-phase design project for the Pasadena Playhouse that will include a new 300- to 400-seat theater to expand the Playhouse campus, as well as redesigning the interior of the Playhouse's existing balcony performance space, the Carrie Hamilton Theatre. <
